Antonia Koester received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich) in 2012. After her Bachelor's degree, she enrolled in the Master of Business Research (MBR) program at LMU Munich and started working as Doctoral Candidate and Research Assistant at the Institute of Information Systems and New Media at LMU Munich. In the course of her PhD, she investigated the value of social referrals via information and communication technologies (ICTs) for companies. As part of her PhD thesis, Antonia analyzed the influence of different online channels on user’s website behavior. Other research projects she actively engaged in are dedicated to uncovering user’s smartphone behavior and trust building in the m-commerce context. She received her Master’s degree (MBR) in 2016 and her PhD in May 2017 from the LMU Munich. During her PhD she was invited by the UC Berkeley School of Information for a research stay.

Since 2018, Antonia works as post-doctoral fellow and head of the research group “Digital Integration” at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society in Berlin. She assists Prof. Dr. Krasnova with her work for the High-Tech Forum, which is the German government’s central advisory committee for the High-Tech Strategy 2025.
