HPI d-school: Global Design Thinking Workshop on Good Health & Well-Being
Looking for a meaningful way to use your semester break?
The Global Design Thinking Workshop at the HPI d-school offers students the opportunity to develop future-relevant skills such as critical thinking, creative problem-solving, collaboration, and teamwork – while working with international peers, experienced coaches, and project partners on real-world challenges.
Each year, the workshop focuses on a topic connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s focus is on “Good Health & Well-Being.”
Together with partners from public institutions, companies, and NGOs, participants will explore how Design Thinking can contribute to more sustainable, human-centered solutions in the field of health and well-being.
The workshop combines an online introduction with five on-site workshop days at the HPI d-school. Participants will experience the Design Thinking process hands-on, work in interdisciplinary teams, and develop ideas and prototypes addressing real-world challenges.
The program takes place in August/September 2026 and is designed for students who are curious about innovation, collaboration, and tackling complex societal challenges through a creative and human-centered approach.
Upon successful completion, participants receive 3 ECTS credits and a certificate of participation.
The workshop language is English. Applications close on June 15, 2026. Participation is free of charge for University of Potsdam students. Students enrolled at other universities pay an administration fee of €100.
