Exchange, discuss, join in!

The COIL'DE network invites you to an inspiring BarCamp on the topic of “Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL),” where educators and those interested in COIL, primarily those from German but also international universities, will come together! This unique event, which is taking place for the second time after 2024, provides a dynamic platform to explore the transformative potential of COIL in higher education. Through cross-institutional exchange, discover innovative ways to enrich teaching practices and global student engagement.

The BarCamp format offers a flexible, participant-driven environment where your ideas and interests shape the agenda. Be prepared to exchange ideas, discuss, and collaborate in interactive sessions that promote creativity and connection. Whether you're new to COIL or an experienced practitioner, this is your chance to network and develop ideas that transcend borders.

Dive into the future of learning with us and be part of a vibrant community committed to developing higher education through global collaboration. Don’t miss the opportunity to contribute to this exciting dialogue and broaden your educational horizon!

COIL'DE Network - Who we are

In 2020, Professor Stephanie Swartz (Mainz University of Applied Sciences) and colleagues from other German universities founded the COIL'DE network. Our network now has over 30 members from various colleges and universities in Germany.

Since 2020, we have been meeting regularly to discuss topics related to COIL that are particularly relevant to the German higher education landscape. Our goal is to contribute to the establishment of COIL projects at universities and expand our connections with all who are interested in COIL.
