UP Experience – Events at the University of Potsdam

Throughout the year many different events take place at the University of Potsdam. In January the President invites to the New Year’s Reception. The University Ball takes place in February. Many scientists from the University take part in the Potsdam Science Day that takes place in early summer. They invite you to visit the exciting world of research. The Campus Festival announces the end of the summer semester. At the end of September about 2,000 grade schoolers from Potsdam and its surroundings are invited to the Children’s University at the Campus Golm. The academic year starts in mid-October with the WarmUP! start-of-semester celebration in the Schiffbauergasse entertainment district to welcome the University’s new students. A few weeks later the University welcomes the newly appointed professors during a meeting of the professorial staff. The year is rounded off with the Christmas Market at Campus Neues Palais.
Apart from these major events that are organized by the Press and Public Relations Department many other events take place at the University of Potsdam, e.g. the University Information Day or the International Day.

There is always something to experience.
