UPdate.KI: No Limits: Earth Sciences Education with AI Unleashed
The introduction of ChatGPT in November 2022 rendered a popular Springer textbook on Collecting, Processing, and Presenting Geoscientific Information virtually obsolete, as well as the bachelor's and master's courses based on the book. In this talk, Martin Trauth recounts his collaboration with designer and coauthor Elisabeth Sillmann to adapt his courses—and the accompanying book—to the current AI world. They look forward to discussing the outcomes of this collaboration with researchers from within and beyond the natural sciences.
Note: The title of the presentation was suggested by ChatGPT after multiple rounds of prompting. Apple Intelligence has rewritten the text, including this note. However, we can assure you that both speakers use their natural intelligence, where available, and with great pleasure.
