Specific Qualification in TraceAge

Tilman Grune is the head of the Department of Molecular Toxicology and Scientific Director of the German Institute of Human Nutrition. The research of the department focusses on the changes of the redox status and proteostasis during aging and metabolic challenges. Particularly, the role of micronutrient nutrition in aging and disease is in the focus of the research. Here the department is concentrating of the age-related changes in postmitotic cells as cardiomyocytes and beta-cells.
