The Department of Nutrition and Gerontology at the German Institute of Human Nutrition (DIfE), together with the AG Nutrition and Body composition at the Charité Universitätsmedizin both led by Kristina Norman, focusses on age-related changes in nutritional physiology, malnutrition, frailty and sarcopenia research in age-advanced clinical and community-dwelling cohorts, including both diagnostic aspects, research into consequences and clinical outcome as well as on intervention studies.
