In both competitions, Tobias faced four strong contestants. The audiences, whose votes ultimately secured his victories, numbered around 200 people at Weltspiegel-Kino Finsterwalde and around 400 people at Waschhaus Potsdam.
Tobias's success highlights not only his outstanding presentation skills but also draws attention to the fascinating research topics of our CRC. His slam presentation, entitled "Nanodisco", was closely connected to our research and demonstrated how complex scientific concepts can be communicated in an engaging and accessible way.
We congratulate Tobias on these remarkable achievements and wish him continued success on his path toward earning his doctoral degree. We are also grateful for his efforts to bring science to a broader audience through his participation in Science Slams.
And for everyone interested in experiencing science communication live: the next Science Slam in Golm will take place on July 16! Further information can be found on the University of Potsdam website.
