Women in Science Day

CRC 1644 holds an annual Women in Science Day each November, bringing together female researchers at all career stages – from PhD students to principal investigators – for exchange, inspiration, and mutual support.

The event is part of our broader commitment to gender equality and the visibility of women in science. It provides a space to discuss career paths, share experiences, and build connections that extend beyond individual research groups and institutions. By making this an annual tradition, we aim to contribute to a culture in which the achievements and perspectives of women in our field are recognised and celebrated.

The Women in Science Day complements the structural measures for equal opportunities that are embedded in CRC 1644's funding and programme – and gives them a visible, community-oriented form.
