Research interests
I am particularly interested in the dynamic relationship between wildlife and their environment—both how animals shape their habitats and how ecological conditions influence their behaviour and distribution. My focus is on large terrestrial herbivores. Using ecological modelling, I aim to investigate how human impacts such as habitat fragmentation or land-use change limit wildlife populations and what management strategies can help mitigate these effects. I am also fascinated by how ecosystem engineers modify landscapes and drive ecological processes through their activities. Through my research, I hope to contribute to the conservation of these remarkable animals and their habitats, to generate new insights, and to advance methods in the field of ecological modelling.
