Bricks, Minds, and Breakthroughs: Creative Problem-Solving in (internationalized) higher education with Lego Serious Play
This hands-on session will introduce participants to the Lego Serious Play (LSP) methodology as a tool to explore and co-create solutions around key challenges in higher education.
While Internationalization at Home (IaH) is the central theme of the workshop, participants do not need to come exclusively from the field of internationalization. The strength of the session lies in bringing together diverse perspectives — from teaching, administration, student services, and academic development — to explore how each role can contribute to internationalizing the classroom and learning experience.
Participants are also welcome to work on other area-specific challenges, such as *professional development and trainings for teaching staff, young scientists or other university employees, *inclusive education practices, or *innovating teaching practices.
The workshop will be facilitated by Maria José Castelazo André, Global Curriculum and Special Project Manager at the Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara (ITESO, Mexico). As a certified Lego Serious Play trainer, she has already used the method several times to work with teachers on topics related to the internationalization of university teaching and challenging teaching experiences.
