Yuefang Zhou (PhD, Gastwissenschaftlerin bei PECoG)

Dr. Yuefang Zhou ist derzeit Gastwissenschaftler in der Potsdam Embodied Cognition Group (PECoG) der Universität Potsdam. Sie hat einen Master-Abschluss in angewandten Forschungsmethoden (mit Auszeichnung) und einen Doktortitel in kultureller Anpassung. Sie verfügt außerdem über ein Postgraduierten-Zertifikat in Beratungsstudien (mit Auszeichnung, Beratung und Psychotherapie in Schottland). Zwischen 2002 und 2016 arbeitete sie in verschiedenen Forschungsbereichen, darunter Pädagogische Psychologie (Peer-unterstütztes Lernen), Sozialpsychologie (Gruppenidentität und Kulturschock) und Gesundheitspsychologie (Gesundheitskommunikation). Dr. Zhou zog im Jahr 2017 nach Deutschland, um ihren Forschungsinteressen zur Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion (engl. Human-Robot Interaction, kurz HRI) nachzugehen. Zu ihren HRI-Forschungsinteressen gehören insbesondere soziale Kognition in der Mensch-Roboter-Interaktion, digitale Sexualität, Mensch-Roboter-Berührungsinteraktion und intime Beziehungen zwischen Menschen und künstlichen Partnern.
Sie hat zwei internationale HRI-Workshops organisiert.
Der erste Workshop (AI LOVE YOU, https://ailoveyou719055967.wordpress.com/) brachte ein interdisziplinäres Team zusammen, um das Thema der intimen Beziehungen zwischen Mensch und Roboter zu diskutieren, und forderte dringende empirische Forschung in diesem Bereich. Im Anschluss an den Workshop war Dr. Zhou (zusammen mit Professor M. Fischer) Herausgeber eines Buches zu diesem Thema (https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-030-19734-6).
Der zweite Workshop (Learning from Humanoid AI: Motivational, Social & Cognitive Perspectives, https://embracingai.wordpress.com/) stellte die Forschung zu intimen Beziehungen zwischen Mensch und Roboter parallel zu anderen Bereichen wie KI in Bildung und Gesundheitswesen und diskutierte mehr im Großen und Ganzen soziale, entwicklungsbezogene und kognitive Ansätze zur Erforschung humanoider KI.
Dr. Zhou ist Co-Betreuer von Master- und PhD-Forschungsprojekten zum Thema HRI im Rahmen ihrer Tätigkeit in der PECoG-Gruppe. Sie hat keine Lehrverpflichtungen.
