CRC 1636 at Potsdamer Tag der Wissenschaften 2026

Last Saturday, our CRC/SFB 1636 took part in the Potsdamer Tag der Wissenschaften (PTDW)!

Guests visiting our stand — both adults and children — explored interactive experiments reflecting the beauty and power of light. They also produced their own dichroic nanoparticle solutions and ruby glass marbles. And judging by how many were produced, the activity was a great success — we counted on the order of 100 creations! Additionally, our guests were happy to receive nice giveaways.

Many thanks to our great helpers from the side of our doctoral researchers:
- Tobias (PhD student with Prof. Amitabh Banerji),
- Victoria (PhD student with Prof. Nora Kulak),
- Mathis (PhD student with Prof. Carsten Henkel),
- Hari (PhD student with Prof. Yan Lu),
- and Sarah (PhD student with Prof. Svetlana Santer).

You can also follow this event on our LinkedIn and Instagram channels, where a short video showcasing the experiments at our stand is shown.

We are already looking forward to PTDW 2027! ;)
