CRC 1636 at the Bunsen-Tagung 2026

The Bunsen-Tagung on “Properties and Processes under Confinement” took place from March 30 to April 1, 2026, in Dresden.

The Bunsen-Tagung is one of the most important conferences in physical chemistry within the German-speaking community.

The meeting focused on current developments in areas such as light–matter interactions, catalysis, and nanoscale processes—all central topics within our CRC.

Our CRC was well represented: Vice Speaker Prof. Ilko Bald, PIs Prof. Henrike Müller-Werkmeister and Dr. Wouter Koopman, PostDocs Dr. Sergio Kogikoski Jr. and Dr. Radwan Sarhan, and PhD researcher Jannes Manglani-Dreßler all participated and contributed their expertise on light-driven chemistry at metal nanostructures.

Importantly, the next Bunsen-Tagung on “Light-Driven Reactions at Nanoscale Materials” will be held at the University of Potsdam in collaboration with our CRC from April 5 to 7, 2027—save the date!
