In July 2026, the conference “Landscapes of In/Justice” examines landscapes as sites where matters of justice and injustice are negotiated and critically engages with how these spaces are produced. 

In May 2026, the Potsdam Postcolonial Studies Collective hosted the lecture “Decolonising Safari in Eastern Africa” by Dr. Oduor Obura. 

In May 2026, Potsdam Postcolonial Chair Meena Pillai held the keynote “Ways of Not Seeing: Gender, Genre, Jouissance, and the Affective Modernity of Feudal Capital in Bollywood Cinema“ as part of the Symposium ”Indian Cinema(s): Consumerist Dreams, Liberalization Realities“ at the University of Potsdam.

In December 2025, Potsdam Postcolonial Studies Collective Member Jenny Haase convened the Spanish language symposium "Posthumanidades en/desde Abya Yala y América Latina" (engl. "Posthumanities in/from Abya Yala and Latin America").

In November 2025, renowned Indigenous writer Drew Hayden Taylor from Turtle Island, Canada, read from his latest novel Cold at the University of Potsdam.
