Affiliated Event: Reading and Discussion with Drew Hayden Taylor

In November 2025, renowned Indigenous writer Drew Hayden Taylor from Turtle Island, Canada, read from his latest novel Cold at the University of Potsdam. Taking tropes from the murder mystery, police procedural, thriller, and horror genres, the novel is a pageturner that makes the streets of Toronto the setting of Indigenous life and stories, both traditional and contemporary. The event was moderated by Potsdam Postcolonial Studies Collective members Nicole Waller and Alisa Preusser.
