The Institute of Computer Science of the University of Potsdam features an interdisciplinary research profile and a great variety of study programs. The University of Potsdam has close ties to more than 20 research institutes in Potsdam and the surrounding region. The institute conducts basic research, interdisciplinary collaborations, and application-oriented collaborations with industrial partners. The start-up network of the university supports graduates and researchers in the process of starting spin-off companies.
Our study programs are carried out by an interdisciplinary network of departments and research institutes. Mentors provide additional support and orientation to students. We offer a great variety of study programs, including the scientifically- and research-oriented bachelor and master programs in computational science and the English-speaking master programs in cognitive systems and data science.
The University of Potsdam is one of the most beautifully situated Universities in Europe. The Institute of Computer Science is located in the Campus Golm which offers modern university buildings, a library with workspaces, and beautiful, quiet outdoor areas. Thanks to excellent public transport connections, the city center of Berlin is only 30 minutes away.

Dazu zählen z.B. eine sichere Vortragsweise und Präsentation der eigenen Ideen und Tätigkeiten. Ebenso waren eine offene Kommunikation und Zusammenarbeit in Teams sehr nützliche Grundbausteine. Auch die Aneignung eines soliden Zeitmanagements und einer effektiven Arbeitsaufteilung wurden mir im Studium gut vermittelt, sodass ich meine Arbeit nun zur Zufriedenheit aller bewältigen kann.“
