From 10 to 13 June 2025, there will be a period at the University of Potsdam for the first time in which the obligation to hold regular courses will be lifted. During these four days, students will be able to take part in internships, excursions, block courses and other formats.

Model UN Human Rights Council

We will conduct a simulation as part of the International Human Rights Protection and International Law II courses. In a simplified Model UN, we are going to simulate a session of the Human Rights Council concerning the UPR mechanism. Two countries will be under review. This will allow participating students to gain more knowledge about the work of the Human Rights Council, the UPR procedure and the human rights situation in these countries. Students will develop research techniques and presentation skills.

The participation is open not only to those who attend the lectures, but also to all students in the specialization area of International Law.

We can work well with 20 participants, but 26 will also be possible.

Everybody should bring their own device for research and writing.
