All interested persons pursuing collaboration and project ideas in teaching for 2023 are cordially invited. The event provides a good foundation for participation in the December 2022 call for proposals "KoUP Cooperation Funding". Helpful information on the comprehensive support of COIL/VE projects will be supplemented in the workshop by the COIL.UP unit at the Center for Quality Development in Teaching and Studies.

Developing students future competencies with COIL/Virtual Exchange

E-Card including graphic and Main Workshop Information

Future-oriented higher education provides students with the opportunity to develop global thinking, responsible attitudes, and future-oriented competencies needed to respond to the increasing challenges facing the global society.

"Collaborative Online International Learning" (COIL), often referred to as "Virtual Exchange" (VE), represents an innovative approach that engages faculty and students in intercultural exchange through meaningful, collaborative projects - across boundaries of space, time, language, and culture. COIL/VE broadens perspectives, deepens knowledge, promotes personal development, and facilitates international connections for both students and faculty. And as "Internationalization at Home," COIL/VE potentially offers all students the opportunity to gain international and intercultural experience, without studying abroad.
