Prof. Dr. Klaus H. Goetz

Klaus Goetz (D.Phil. Nuffield College, Oxford, 1991) holds the chair for "Political Systems and European Integration" at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute at the LMU Munich and was before Professor for "German and European Government and Politics" at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam. His research covers EU enlargement, the Europeanisation of politics and government, the temporality of governance and executive law-making. Among other appointments, Professor Goetz was Reader at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Visiting Professor at Humboldt-University Berlin, the Institute of Advanced Studies, Vienna, and the University of Tokyo. As a consultant, he has been working for the OECD-SIGMA initiative and the World Bank on institutional policy in Central and Eastern Europe.
