Every year, we place a collective order for magnifying glasses for first-semester students. We always announce the collective order by email and visit one or two lectures during the first two weeks of the semester to pass around the list.

You can also borrow various pieces of equipment from the FSR. Please send us an email or speak to us in good time if you would like to do so! 

Your personal equipment should include: a geologist's hammer (we recommend the 1 kg Estwing hammer), a hand magnifying glass, a structural geology compass (can be borrowed from the FSR or institute), 10% HCl acid, hiking boots, weatherproof clothing.
