Student council work

The GeoW!ss student council represents all students studying geosciences, geology, mineralogy, or geophysics at the University of Potsdam. Our tasks include:

• Assistance with study organization (just send us an email or come to one of our meetings)
• First semester work
• We sit on all important committees of the Institute of Geosciences at the University of Potsdam. These include:
  • Institute Council
  • Examination Board
  • Vefa (Student Council Assembly)
• BuFaTa (Federal Student Council Conference)
• Networking and exchange of experiences with other student councils 
• Representing student interests to lecturers, committees, and the University of Potsdam
• We plan events such as the Barbara and the summer party
• We order merchandise
• Tips and collective orders for geology equipment, organization of parties and celebrations

You are also welcome to come to one of our meetings and see what we do.

Members are elected at the general meeting once a semester. As an associate member, you can stand for election at any time.
