As a DFG research grant, FloDeMEc is a one-woman project, but it is in close professional cooperation with the projects in the Geography and Natural Risk Research working group “Identification of locations for effective dike relocation” and “Ecosystem services in floodplains - a case study of the Lower Havel region”.

The project network includes research institutions and authorities that also deal with the topic of the ecological state of floodplains, ecosystem services of floodplains and the floodplain functionality.

  • Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (Section II 2.4)
  • Federal Institute for Hydrology (Refarat U3, Refarat M2)
  • Helmholtz Environmental Research Center Leipzig (Department of Nature Conservation Research, AG Floodplain Ecology)
  • University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) (Institute for Hydrobiology and Water Management), research-stay 2019 on the topic of modeling nutrient retention in connected tributaries of the Danube
