Professor Schulz will assume the chair of Computer Science Education at the University of Potsdam, bringing with her a particular passion for teaching artificial intelligence in educational settings. She is especially interested in the preconceived notions students bring to the classroom regarding AI, how these perceptions influence learning, and which methods are effective in achieving a successful shift in understanding. Her research also focuses on interdisciplinary STEM learning, data literacy, and collaborative learning in schools and higher education.
In the summer semester of 2026, Professor Schulz will offer the courses "Computer Science Education" and "Computer Science and Society." The aim is to develop and test innovative teaching concepts and to understand and reflect on the interplay between computer science and society.
