New Article About CRC 1644: “When identical genes look different: Plants as masters of adaptation”

The University of Potsdam has published a new article about our Collaborative Research Center CRC 1644 – Phenotypic Plasticity in Plants in the current issue of the university magazine Portal – Zwei 2025 “Demokratie”.
The article introduces the scientific goals of the CRC and highlights how researchers from genetics, epigenetics, bioinformatics, and modelling work together to understand how plants adapt to changing environmental conditions such as temperature and nutrient availability. This interdisciplinary approach aims to uncover the molecular basis of phenotypic plasticity and its relevance for future crop improvement.
