What is a plenary session?

The general assembly is the highest decision-making body of the Mathematics/Physics Student Council. Each member of the represented student councils has exactly one seat and one vote; proxies are not permitted in case of absence.
It is convened by the student council – either by its decision or upon written request of at least ten members. Regular meetings must be announced at least fourteen days in advance (website, notice board in the institutes), extraordinary meetings in case of urgent need with seven days' notice.
Only items on the published agenda may be decided upon. A duly announced general meeting is quorate if at least ten student council members are present. At least one regular meeting should be held per calendar year, usually in the summer semester.
The general meeting decides on all essential matters of the student council, such as amendments to the statutes, election procedures, and other strategic decisions that affect the entire student council. Decisions made at extraordinary meetings that have an effect lasting longer than one semester must be confirmed at the next regular meeting
