UFS general meeting 02.06.2022

Our general meeting at 11:30 in room 28.2.123 and via Zoom

Our general meeting will take place on 2 June.  There will also be an election of the board. In particular, the question is whether we want to anchor the three current excellence initiatives of the university in the executive committee, as all of them also involve targeted data issues. These three initiatives will introduce themselves briefly. At the same time, we should discuss how to anchor the UFS in the initiatives.

Prof. Karoline Wiesner joins the UFS

Prof. Wiesner works on Complexity Sciences at the University. Her primary interests are Foundations of Complexity Science, Applied Information Theory, Complex Social and Environmental Systems.

Auf Initiative des Instituts für Mathematik unter Federführung von Herrn Prof. Reich ist ein Universitärer Forschungsschwerpunkt (UFS) mit dem Titel Data centric sciences (DCS) für den Zeitraum 1. Juli 2019 bis 31. Dezember 2023 eingerichtet worden.

Die Auftakt-Veranstaltung zum UFS wird am 30. September stattfinden:
