What are OER?
OER (Open Educational Resources)
Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials that are made available under an open license and are therefore freely and openly accessible. Digitalization and networking make it easier to share and disseminate teaching materials. This provides teachers with new ideas for their classroom practice and allows them to save considerable time by using existing materials or adapting them for their own purposes.
Further information—including a short explanatory video on OER—can be found here.
OER Materials
In recent years, a continuously growing range of OER has emerged. At times, it can be difficult to keep track of the various available resources. For this reason, we have compiled recommended OER portals in the file below—both subject-specific and interdisciplinary.
