Booklet: Information on concluding employment contracts at the UP (in German)
Hiring and thus concluding an employment contract are among those administrative processes that consume time and effort for everyone involved. The works council for academic and artistic staff directly oversees many of these hiring processes within the scope of its co-determination rights under the Staff Representation Act for the State of Brandenburg (PersVG Bbg), or at least provides advice when colleagues contact us personally.
It is important for the employees being hired that the recruitment process is transparent, complies with legal and collective bargaining regulations, and leads to a reliable outcome. Our consulting practice has shown that fundamental questions are repeated, and inexperience with processes at the University of Potsdam can lead to confusion and conflict. This has prompted us to compile some of our answers: Information on concluding employment contracts at the UP.
Wir hoffen, dass die Broschüre dazu beitragen wird, das Informationsdefizit zu verringern, das speziell beim Thema „Berücksichtigung von förderlichen Zeiten“ bei den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern besteht.
We hope that this brochure will help to reduce the information deficit that exists among employees, especially regarding the topic of “taking into account beneficial working periods” (Berücksichtigung förderlicher Zeiten).
