National Regulatory Control Council: Nationaler Normenkontrollrat (NKR)

In September 2006 the NKR was appointed as an independent body to provide assistance, in the role of critical and constructive adviser and supporter, to the Federal Government in implementing the programme "Bureaucracy Reduction and Better Regulation".

Prof. Dr. Sabine Kuhlmann is Vice-Chairman of the NKR and member since 2011. Here you will find information about the work of the Council.

Prof. Dr. Sabine Kuhlmann has been Vice-Chairwoman of the National Regulatory Control Council (NKR) since February 2017. She has been a member of the NKR since 2011 and was appointed by the Federal President, Joachim Gauck, for a second term of office in September 2016 at the suggestion of the Federal Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel.
The task of the National Regulatory Control Council is to support the Federal Government in implementing its measures for bureaucracy reduction and better regulation.
