Law Clinic for Integration Law - Advising for Refugees and Aid Organizations

Law students provide advice to refugees, volunteers, and organizations for issues regarding asylum and residence rights, as well as questions about everyday life, contracts, and insurance.

Psychological Counseling for Refugees

Our services are for refugees and also available for voluntary workers as well as university employees.

Refugee Teachers Program

The University of Potsdam is offering a special program for teachers who are refugees. Its goal is to open up future opportunities for refugee teachers in the German educational system.

The Integration through Study Program - IdSUP | Application for Summer Semester 2017

Refugees with study experience from their home countries can apply through the Integration through Study (IdSUP) program.

Qualification Program in Business for Academics with an Immigration Background

UP Transfer GmbH at the University of Potsdam is offering a qualification program in business through the IQ Netzwerk Brandenburg for academics with an immigration background.


The student-run university group Pangea-Projekt offers free language courses for refugees. These courses take place at the Campus Am Neuen Palais.

Auditor status for refugees

The University of Potsdam also offers refugees the option of attending specific, appropriate courses as an auditor. This is done within the limits of existing seat capacities. As an auditor, you can take a closer look at the German university system and prepare for regular studies. Please note that participating as an auditor is not the same as regular university studies.

You can apply for auditor status in the Office of Student Affairs. Auditor status for refugees is permitted one semester at a time; there are no fees.
