Research interests
As part of my PhD-project I am currently working on evolutionary and phenotypic adaptations to local climatic conditions in vole species.  As climate change imposes intensified and novel selection pressures on this species I am hoping that my study provides more information about the endurance of this and other species under climate change. I intend to use molecular genetic approaches and NGS data to uncover signatures of evolutionary adaption using different environmental gradients throughout Europe.
