The Minimalist Program is a trend in recent generative syntax which subjects to critical scrutiny-and, if possible, eliminates-all constructs that are not virtually conceptually necessary.

The purpose of the proposed workshop is to bring together scholars who are engaged in providing detailed analysis to specific linguistic problems and who work on a variety of languages, in order to explore new ways of understanding the organization of grammar and the workings of language.
