Living Wild: Why Keeping Wild Places and Animals Healthy is Key to Our Own Health

What can we as individuals do to prevent future pandemics? Due to enhanced human mobilities, no part of the world is biologically isolated from any other part, different species are similarly interconnected. The spread of disease amongst one species has an impact on another. Therefore, the health of the planet must be approached holistically. Perhaps this pandemic should force us to change our notions of being 'outside nature', and instead start taking the health of wild places as seriously as our own.

Join the Jewish Activism Summer School as Dr. Radhika Borde from the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development at Charles University, Prague leads us in a discussion on these pressing topics.
