The Faculty’s management consists of a dean, vice dean, dean of studies and a vice dean of studies. They are elected by the faculty board.
Maik Heinemann has been Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since the end of 2013. He has been Professor of Economic Growth, Integration and Sustainable Development since 2011. His research interests focus on dynamic macroeconomics, monetary theory and politics, economic growth and distribution.
Norbert Gronau has been Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since May 2016. He has been Professor of Business Information Systems and Electronic Government since 2004. His research interests focus on change abilities, process management and knowledge as well as learning and education.
Ulrich Kohler has been Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since November 2015. He has been Professor of Methods of Empirical Social Research since 2012. His research interests focus on political participation of lower classes, influence of non-voters on electoral outcomes, citizens’ involvement in environmentally relevant large-scale projects, petition statistics and their significance for a systematic classification of the quality of life in the former GDR as well as economic consequences of central life risks in Germany and the USA and their development since the eighties.
Lisa Bruttel has been Vice Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since September 2016. She has been Professor of Markets, Competition & Institutions since 2014. Her research interests include Industrial Organization, Experimental Economics as well as Behavioral Economics.
