It is a matter of crucial importance to the University of Potsdam to cultivate lively relationships with private supporters and companies who would like to provide intellectual or material support to the University and its students. There are several different opportunities to do so:

The University of Potsdam is turning twenty-five years old this year. The University is celebrating this anniversary quite publicly to shine a spotlight on the contribution that Brandenburg’s largest university makes to municipal and regional development. The festivities begin with the traditional New Year’s reception on January 28, 2016, followed by our “silver” University Ball on February 13, 2016. Further highlights of the anniversary include the central graduation ceremony on July 14 and the anniversary festivities on July 15, 2016. We have prepared a table with presents for everyone who would like to make a donation to the University of Potsdam.

Those who would like to support students should become sponsors of a Germany Scholarship. Students in this program receive financial support and are therefore able to attain optimal results from their university studies. Moreover, this grants companies an opportunity to get to know their future experts and to accompany them during their entry into professional life.

For private sponsors,there is also the opportunity of donating to an open-topic or content-related endowment. This could be for example the preservation of historic buildings, or the targeted funding of priority topics through endowed professorships.
