The centre’s activities encompass a mentoring program for students who want to focus on the topics of language, variation, multilingualism and who are interested in carrying out interdisciplinary research.
The centre supports BA and MA students who want to focus on “Language, Variation, Multilingualism” within their studies and who are interested in interdisciplinary research. We address both students who are thinking of a future Ph.D., and students who will use this as a valuable additional qualification for their future occupation, e.g. as a school teacher.
Students can apply to participate in the centre's Mentoring Program if they want to make the area of “Language, Variation, Multilingualism” a focus of their studies, are willing to play an active role in the centre’s network of young researchers, and want to benefit from the centre’s support program. A weekly colloquium as well as lectures and informal meetings ensure a lively exchange. Relevant projects and papers can also be supported by the centre's members.
Participants of the centre’s mentoring program should carry out research and/or study abroad. The centre will provide organisational support for this.
