Dipl.-Psych. Michaela Schinköth

PhD Student

I graduated at the University of Greifswald in 2009. I have always been interested in assessing sport and health through a psychological lens. As part of my work at the Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology, I am examining the impact of automatic affective processes on exercise behavior as well as exercising as an affective experience. Therefore, as part of my PhD thesis I focus on the role of automatic valuations of exercising, the underlying mechanisms of the affect-exercise behavior link and approaching the somatic core of affect via psychophysiological measures.
In addition to my research, I coordinate the university´s Health Management Project (https://www.uni-potsdam.de/de/gesundheitsmanagement/index.html).
Moreover, I am currently the ERASMUS coordinator for the Department of Sport and Health Sciences. (For further information see https://www.uni-potsdam.de/international/outgoing/studium/erasmus/koordinatoren.html#c214857)
