Jaya is a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Potsdam’s research focus “Sustainable Materials Design”, working together with Prof. Andreas Taubert and Prof. Ilko Bald.

The prize was presented during the Potsdamer Tag der Wissenschaften, which took place on Saturday, May 9, and recognizes her work published in the paper:

“NH3-Guided Low-Temperature Nanostructural Refinement Boosts Visible-Light-Driven H2O2 Synthesis in Ionic Carbon Nitrides”.

The work presents an alternative approach for producing hydrogen peroxide in a more sustainable way.

Congratulations to Jaya and everyone involved!

“Sustainable Materials Design” is a new University Research Focus (Universitärer Forschungsschwerpunkt, UFS) at the University of Potsdam. Established in 2025, it brings together researchers from chemistry, physics, and partly biology to work on sustainable materials and sustainable chemical processes.
