Short biography

Andree Pruin studied Political Science (Bachelor of Arts), as well as Sociology and Law at the University of Duisburg-Essen, the University of Cologne and the Catholic Péter-Pázmány-University in Budapest from 2012 to 2016. Thereafter, he completed his Master degree in Public Administration (Master of Arts) at the University of Potsdam. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant for a parliamentary group at the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and for a member of the German Bundestag. Since April 2018, he is a research fellow and doctoral student in the TROPICO-project (Transforming into Open, Innovative and Collaborative Governments).

Research

Andree Pruin's research focuses on political participation and collaborative governance (particularly open government, e-participation and e-democracy). His other main interests include parliamentarianism and political parties.
