PhD scholarships

You want to start a doctoral project or complete your project at the University of Potsdam? You are looking for financing?

The University of Potsdam awards PhD scholarships with fundings from the Graduate Fund of the State of Brandenburg. The scholarships provide you with financial security for your living costs, usually € 1,100 per month. In addition to the cost of living, you may also have to finance health insurance and social insurance yourself, if needed. Please note: only PhD candidates of the University of Potsdam can apply.

Prerequisites are a first supervisor from the University of Potsdam and admission to a doctorate at one of its faculties/departments.

These Scholarships are awarded open to all disciplines. The beginning of the scholarship is freely selectable. The Graduate Funding Commission usually awards scholarships at the beginning of the semester. Thus, funding usually begins in May or October of each year at the earliest.
