"What comes after my studies? What prospects and opportunities do I have? How can I gain practical insights during my studies? How can I assert myself in the job market?"
These questions are of particular concern to students of the Faculty of Arts who are not studying to become a teacher. The possibilities are varied and the professional fields are often unspecific. This is exactly where the "Career Orientation for Humanities Scholars" project would like to tie in, raise awareness of the topic, show perspectives and create opportunities for practical insights.
Until March 2021, the "career orientation for humanities scholars" was a sub-project of the university college funded by the European Social Fund, and a number of measures and events have already been carried within this project.
These included, among other things
Am Neuen Palais 10
Building 22, Room 0.02
The project is now an integral part of the Faculty of Arts and is constantly being improved and expanded. In the coming semesters, there will be regular events that are intended to provide insights into a variety of careers and work fields that are of interest to humanities scholars. Furthermore, the project coordinator is the contact person for co-operations with institutes or individual departments as well as student councils, in order to raise awareness of the topic within the framework of tutorials, workshops or information events, and to provide assistance with individual career orientation.
