Dieter Wagner was Professor of Business Management with a focus on Organization and Personnel from 1993 until 2012. Before joining the University of Potsdam, he worked as a professor at the University of the Federal Armed Forces (Universität der Bundeswehr), Hamburg and held executive positions in the private sector. His research focuses on public enterprises and Human Resource Management in public administrations and private organizations as well as the management of start-ups, (Founding Director of the Brandenburg Institute for Entrepreneurship, BIEM), flexible and process-oriented organizations, and the institutional development of Human Resources Management. Since 2011 he has the degree of a Dr.h.c., awarded by the National Academy of Governance of Mongolia. Prof. Wagner retired in 2012. From 2011 until 2016 he was CEO of UP Transfer Company for Knowledge and Technology Transfer Limited, an affiliated company of the university of Potsdam. Currently, he serves as an executive member of the Consulting Board of Potsdam Transfer, Central Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Knowledge and Technology Transfer.
