Steffen Ganghof is Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Potsdam since March 2007. After studying political science, economics and sociology at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, the Free University of Berlin and at Stanford University (California, USA), he was researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne from 1998 to 2006 and graduated in 2003 at the University of Bremen. The habilitation followed in 2006 at the University of Cologne. His research areas include tax policies, theories of democracy and parliamentary democracies.
