Alex Murdock is Head of the Centre for Government and Charity Management and Professor of Not for Profit Management and Leadership at London South Bank University. He holds an MBA from London Business School and Master’s degrees in Public administration and Medical Sociology. Alex has carried out research in Health, Local Government and Emergency Services in the UK and Denmark and has a special interest in the intersection of the public, private and third sectors. He has also active interests in Italy France, China and Norway (where he is visiting professor). He has worked at The University of Paris (Sorbonne), Copenhagen Business School and Brunel University. He has been a visiting Professor to our Public Management programme since 2009 and regularly teaches in our Master-level courses on Nonprofit Management.
