Dr. Annamarie Bindenagel Šehović

Dr. Annamarie Bindenagel Šehović, is a Research Fellow at PAIS at the University of Warwick. She has just returned from a semester (2017/2018) as Acting Professor, Chair of International Relations at the University of Potsdam, Germany. Through the EL-CSID project she is working on tracking knowledge transfer on the individual, state and global levels in the provision of health(care). Her research focuses on human security and global insecurities. She also researches issues of sovereignty and sovereign responsibility, including focusing a lens on non-citizens and their rights’ claims to sovereign protections. Prior to coming to Warwick, Dr. Šehović was a lecturer in international relations at the University of Erfurt, Germany, and at the Willy-Brandt-School of Public Policy there. She is the founder of Bindenagel Consulting, cc, and spent years in South Africa working with the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship, BenchMarks Foundation, Daimler, the University of Pretoria's Center for the Study of AIDS, and others. She earned her PhD at the FU Berlin in 2016; her MA in Public Policy at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2006, and her BA (honors) at the University of Notre Dame in the U.S.A. in 2003.
