macht.sprache. Launch Event: Text Checker & Translation Manifesto
Tune in to "macht.sprache. Launch Event: Text Checker & Translation Manifesto", an online event featuring former minor cosmopolitanisms doctoral fellows Anna von Rath and Lucy Gasser! The macht.sprache. project aims to support those who translate between English and German to integrate political sensitivity into their work. For this purpose, the project team has developed a text checker and written a translation manifesto.
Chidera Nitsche, the bookstagrammer @eine.schwarze.liest.buecher, will guide us through the evening. Anna von Rath and Lucy Gasser will present the manifesto and explain why macht.sprache. matters. Timur Celikel and Kolja Lange will explain the technical side of the project and challenges that arose during its development. We will also reserve some time for your questions.
The event is free and will be held in German. Thanks to the kind support of the Goethe-Institut London, we will also provide simultaneous English interpretation. Make yourselves comfortable at home and tune in on time!
