Caroline Fischer is a PhD student and research/teaching associate at the Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management since June 2016. Her research focuses on Human Resource Management, especially on traineeship and apprenticeship. Her dissertation deals with public sector knowledge management. Caroline Fischer was rewarded the "Best-Paper-Award" of the permanent study group 3 - "Public Personnel Policies" as part of her dissertation project at the 2018 annual EGPA conference in Lausanne.
She studied political and communication science at the Technical University of Dresden (B.A.) und Public Policy and Management at the University of Potsdam (M.A.). She spent one semester abroad at the University of Wrocław (Poland).
During her undergraduate studies Caroline Fischer worked as an author and deputy chief editor of the editorial board ‘campus’ of a daily newspaper. Besides she was a student research assistant at a Collaborative Research Centre and a DFG-funded research project at the TU Dresden and at public affairs of a NGO especially on the topics migration and integration. In addition, she gained practical experience in the political youth and adult education.
Caroline Fischer has been a scholar at the Junior-Teaching-Professionals-Program of Potsdam Graduate School. For the year 2017/2018 she became fellow of the program Freies Wissen of Wikimedia Germany, Donor's Association and Volkswagen Foundation.
