Mirko Heinzel is research associate in the research project “from expert authority to policy transfer” which is part of the Research Unit "International Public Administrations". The Emergence and Development of Administrative Patterns and their Effects on International Policy-Making".

He studied Political Science (BA) with a focus on international relations at the Georg-August University Göttingen and the University of Amsterdam. He holds an MSc in Global Politics (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics (LSE).

He is pursuing a Phd at the University of Potsdam and is a Research Affiliate at the Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies (BGTS).

His research interests include International Organisations, Policy Diffusion and International Political Economy.
