The chair welcomes Thomas Dörfler, Phd. Thomas takes up a position as an open topic postdoctoral researcher at the chair from 1st of April. Thomas received a Phd (summa cum laude) from the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg in 2016. His thesis was awarded with the Hans-Löwel-Wissenschaftspreis in 2018 and the dissertation price 2017 of the United Nations Association of Germany. Before coming to Potsdam, Thomas was a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-Project DELPOWIO at the Chair of European and Global Governance at TUM School of Governance. He also was a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)-UNU Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the UNU Centre for Policy Research, a visiting scholar at John-Jay College of Criminal Justice (City University of New York) and a consultant for the Security Council Affairs Division of the UN Secretariat.
